David Schulze
Medical MBU Director

David R. Schulze is the creator of the Medical MBU. As a youth he was a Boy Scout and became so excited by the merit badge program that he earned every one. He actually became so focused on them that he earned his last one before his Eagle Scout. This put him in the unique position of becoming the first Boy Scout in history to earn every merit badge before earning his Eagle Scout.

Before entering medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, David was a comic artist for The Daily Texan, a commercial actor, a lab manager, a scientist, a screenwriter, an EMT, a saber fencer, and a Boy Scout leader. Currently he is the president of his medical school class and vice president of the medical school student body.

Todd Hendrickson
Technology Director

Todd Hendrickson joined Medical MBU as the technology director in 2016. He first became involved in Boy Scouts at 8 years old and continued in the program through much of his youth. He has recently served as both a merit badge counselor and troop committee member with his local scout troop. As a medical student at the University of North Texas Health Science Center he is involved with several student organizations and has a particular interest in patient safety. Todd will be applying for a residency in Family Medicine this academic year. Apart from keeping up with all of the technological demands of Medical MBU, in his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family including his wife and son.
